RE-OPENING OF THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Desmond McKenzie, Minister of Local Government in Jamaican announced the re-opening of the entertainment industry for the period of July 21- 31.

Sport Bars, Amusement park and small events such as festivals and round robins will be allowed to recommence during that time period. Any event being held during this time requires a permit and should be over an hour before the 11pm curfew. Events should contain 250 guests plus an additional 30 comprising of staff and performers. Guest is expected to practice social distancing and wear masks.

Event planners breathe a sigh of relief and are grateful for the opportunity to hold events once more. Promoters urge that protocols be observed and upheld by guest and colleagues to continue having this privilege.
