Growing up Julian Marley was surrounded by a musical atmosphere, which helped him quickly to adopt the musical lifestyle. Earlier last week he completed the visual for his hit song “SO HIGH”. The song is featured on various artists’ compilation Reggae Vaccine, which was released in June via Contractor Music Group.
Recently, So High peaked at number two on the US iTunes reggae single chart and the reggae Amazon single reggae chart in Germany. Leaving the interpretation up to the listeners, Julian Marley stated that so far, the response he has been getting on the track has been great. So High is like a love song on the clouds. The guitar is the clouds and we are floating in the clouds with the melody and the lyrics stated Marley.
The son of the late reggae legend Bob Marley admits that at first listening the track seems to be talking about the feeling you get when smoking marijuana, but states although interpretation is valid, he was talking about a lady and the feeling you get when love is in play.
The Two-Time Grammy-nominated reggae singer stated that from the moment he heard the rhythm, he knew he had to switch things up and give fans a dose of different energy.
