Inner Circle band giving thanks for Jacob Miller on his 68th birthday.

The Inner Circle band celebrated front man and lead singer Jacob Miller on what would have been his 68th birthday May 4 , he died in a traffic accident on March 23, 1980 at the young age of 27. Jacob Miller, back in the 70’s formulated the immortalized phrase ‘Under Heavy Manners’. The Inner Circle band received several accolades around the world, including a Grammy Award for best reggae album in Caribbean music awards in the best group categories, best reggae album for Bad Boys in 94 and also a Gold Record for the tune Bad Boys for the Tv show ‘Cops’ when it took the tune as its theme song for the show, it helped to propel the song into a international hit! The band were also conferred with the Order of Distinction, Officer Class for their contribution to reggae music, the Inner Circle band has been around for 50 years . Jacob was a known prankster, all around fun and a great Jamaican. Jacob Miller did his first recording session with the legendary Clement ‘Sir Coxsone’ Dodd in the late 1960’s. He and the late Bob Marley were good brethren!  R.I.P
