| ReggaeTimes.com Publisher's Note Hi Readers;
We would like to thank you our readers and our advertisers for the support you have given us during this time. We couldn’t have done it without your support and encouragement. As we move forward into the next decade, we will continue to bring you our Jamaican readers the news and the views. For our global readers we will continue to package a little piece of Jamaica especially for you, as we keep you informed and entertained. Red Strip Reggae Sumfest is also celebrating ten years. We congratulate the promoters for continuing to bring quality entertainment to the event and applaud the fans who have continued to support it. Sumfest came into being at a time when Reggae Sunsplash started to wilt under the economic pressures of the early 1990s, and even after Sunsplash departed, has continued to make a tremendous contribution to local entertainment, despite the financial burden. This year’s Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest will showcase the best in reggae with the likes of Burning Spear, Rayvon, Damion ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, Elephant Man, Capleton, Bounty Killer, Alozade, Brian and Tony Gold, Tony Rebel among others as well as top hip-hop artiste Ashanti and Ja Rule. While we revel in the music of the 2002 Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest, let’s ask the performers to be professional in their presentations. The organizers have already made their pact to ensure that there is no recurrence of last year’s dancehall night mishap. Let us travel to Montego Bay this summer and have a great time at Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest. The struggle continues… To God be the Glory All things shall perish FROM under the SKY Music alone shall live, never shall die Reggae Music, ReggaeTimes © Copyright 2004 ReggaeTimes.com |
