If Angels really do exist then I think there is one walking among us here in Jamaica.  If there is none, and, "JAH ALMIGHTY" is contemplating commissioning a 'halo' for such a person here, then without any reservation, I do believe such a person could only be JEPTHER WASHINGTON Mc.CLYMONT, known professionally as LUCIANO, "JAH MESSENJAH."  This man literally exudes righteousness and love wherever he goes.  He is one of the most altruistic Human Being that one can have the honour of knowing.  He is espoused to a very humble way of life that is worthy of emulation.  "JAH MESSENJAH" is never too busy to give a listening ear or to meet and greet his fellow human beings with love and respect.  These traits I have noticed the man display on countless of occasions.  And on Sunday night of March 27, last he did not deviate from his customary behavior.  On this particular occasion he was one of the two-headline acts set to appear at the Harbour View Lawn, in Stewart Town, St. Ann.  The other act was 'The Cool Ruler', Gregory Isaacs.  And the event was promoted to be "EASTER FEST."

Well, the proceeding didn't turn out to be much of a "Fest" as the large audience anticipated by the promoters of the event, RUNTHINGS PROMOTIONS, did not show up, although there was still great expectation that they might even at minutes to midnight.

Truth must be told that both headline acts were present and ready to perform around that time but still the crowd stayed away. At minutes after I:00 a.m., the following morning Luciano was asked to say a few words over the microphone to inspire those who were on the outside to enter the venue.  This he willingly did by saying a few words to the effect that any event he is advertised for he always make sure he is present to perform. He then voiced a "Psalm" and blessed the small gathering.

A few minutes after that the promoters decided to start the show despite the low attendance.  Gregory Isaacs was slated to perform first but the emcee was informed that he was still in his hotel room.  It was at this point that, LUCIANO, sensing that there was a problem proceeded to assist the production in a big way.  He was in the company of the entire JAH MESSENJAH crew, and he and the likes of, ROCKLAND, BABATUNDE, MILTON BLAKE, MIKEY GENERAL, CULTURE MAN and other from that crew became the body of the production.  Singer, ROCKLAND was the first to take the stage and he did three songs and was followed by, BABATUNDE, CULTUREMAN, MILTON BLAKE, and MIKEY GENERAL.

After MIKEDY GENERAL it came time for LUCIANO to take the stage and from his very first note he began to lay down a blanket of blessing on the small gathering that had them reacting as if they were in a chapel.  It meant nothing to LUCIANO that the gathering was so sparse.  He came to the venue to sing and minister to those of us who were there and this was what he did.  He gave one of the most emotionally charged and energetic performances I have ever witnessed him deliver.  His stint on the stage lasted well over one and a half hours, as a matter of fact; it is safe to say he worked for almost two hours giving around six encores.  Each time he decided to leave the stage he was again inspired to return to sing another song or two.  Of course, the audience loved and enjoyed every moment of his set.  He was in very fine touch too even though he was just coming from the Bahamas that very evening.

Some of the songs he pulled from his extensive repertoire, "THE WORLD IN TROUBLE", "GIVE PRAISE TO RASTAFARI", "ITS ME AGAIN JAH", "COME AWAY", "SWEEP OVER ME", "ULTERIOR MOTIVE", "GIVE THANKS", "THIS ONE IS FOR THE LEADERS", "SERIOUS TIMES", "SILVER AND GOLD."  He also did some cuts from his upcoming album, but the titles of those are lost in the memory bank of this writer just now.

After LUCIANO's performance was pretty near the dawn of Monday March 28, the gathering was totally satisfied as they surrounded the perspiring singer, just wanting to touch him and to personally voice their appreciation for the job he did. And the blessing they received.

It should be noted that Gregory Isaacs did not perform.
