Chuck Fenda releases debut album ‘Better Days’

Reggae Artiste Chuck Fenda releases his debut album entitled ‘Better Days’. The album was launched at the Livity Vegetarian Restaurant in Ligaunea, St. Andrew on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. Many  media representatives, friends, and label mates gathered at the restaurant to give the artiste their support.

Chuck Fenda and his management team apologized for the delay, and followed up with a short ceremony which began with the prayers followed by a performance by LMJ, greeting from Desmond Young, president of the Jamaica Federation of musicians (JFM), and Fenda’s closing remarks, which was done in song.

Chuck Fenda made his mark on the dancehall scene in the 90’s with tunes such as ‘Shut Yu Mouth’, Jah Jah It’s All About You’, and ‘Badda Badda’. In 2002 Fenda became a Rastafarian and since has only voiced conscious tunes. Some of his most recent songs are ‘Ruff Out Deh’, Better Days’ and ‘Oh My Lord’. Although he has been in the game since the 90’s, this is his first album to date.

All the tracks on the album are written by ‘LESHORN WHITEHEAD’, Chuck Fenda’s birth name, given to him on June 15, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York.

The album also includes a personal note to his fans: “ My people who are in the struggle just be strong, keep the faith and remember the poor people defender will always love you and be here for you.”
