'JAVAA Jammin'…volume 1' The Jamaica Association of Vintage Artistes and Affiliates' (JAVAA's), new album entitled 'JAVAA Jammin'…volume 1', was officially launched at the associations headquarters on Friday November 19,2004. The 24 track CD boasts all original cuts, by 24 JAVAA members, all on the "JAVAA Rhythm" developed by JAVAA Member, Grub Cooper, OD. Many of the artistes on the album are household names, like Luciano, Fab 5, Bunny & Scully, Carlton & The Shoes and Johnny Clarke. Others are undergoing a revival of fortunes, like Bunny Brown who is re-establishing himself as a major solo act on Jamaican stages; or Dwight Pinkney who has become a top performing star after years of lurking in the background as a supporter of other artistes. But others like Charmaine, Mary Issacs, Cliff Stewart and the Tidals may be unknown to many reggae fans. The album, which took eleven weeks to complete (including a two-week break, courtesy of Hurricane Ivan) is now available in records stores islandwide. Track Listing 1. Your World And Mine Luciano 2.
