Robert and Jenieve, who operate under the banner R&J Ministries, have been in the business for over sixteen (16) years and have produced four previous albums. This production they note, is a special treat as Juice has several captivating performances as a duet with guest artiste, DJ Nicholas. In addition to magnificent pieces from Robert and Jenieve, the 15-track album, which boasts excellent vocals, was supported by spirited Caribbean rhythms produced by several popular Jamaican musicians; including Sly and Robbie, Grub Cooper and Chevelle Franklin. " Throughout our musical ministry people have always asked us for Christian Caribbean Music and we thought we would represent the Caribbean and Jamaica, which has the motto; out of many one people. We are spiritual people from different backgrounds and we wanted to represent that mixture and be all inclusive in a positive way" notes Robert and Jenieve. The unique album seeks to give gospel fans a special delight by combining unusual Caribbean rhythms with spiritual prose to stimulate a soul stirring yet exhilarating praise and worship session in a format that's synonymous with Jamaican and Caribbean people. Together in ministry, the dynamic duo have won multiple awards and have produced four gospel albums while touring the Caribbean and the United States as headlines and opening artists for other Gospel superstars such as Shirley Caesar, Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly, and others. On the local scene they have also become recognized for their popular annual Valentine production "Its' All About Love " a gospel concert which has become a well-supported and much anticipated event on the Gospel calendar. ‘Juice’ will be launched on October 28, 2004 and is expected to hit the airwaves and stores in –November 2004. © Copyright 2004 ReggaeTimes.com |
