Rising Star

Rising Star
Toni Anderson

Toni Anderson
“…Singing is more than a melody; it is a message from the heart…”
- Toni Anderson.
Talk about beautiful, charming and graceful, with a wonderful personality, and your describing the diva Toni Anderson. Her sultry sounds have earned a number 1 hit on a popular radio station in Canada, and airplay across our nation shores. Her number one hit ‘You and I’, which featured Luciano, will also title her debut album set for release this spring. The album will feature 14 tracks produced by Bobby Treasure, who wrote a few of the songs on the compilation.

Rising Star
'Twin Of Twins' Patrick & Paul Gaynor

'Twin Of Twins' Paul and Parick Gaynor
The compilation covers controversial conversations in interview format, with celebrities such as Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Louis Farrakhan, Renéto Adams and talk show host/poet Mutabaruka. The voice imitations are dead on, giving statements and answers in a typical ‘Twin of Twins’ interview. They have been on the musical scene for a few years, writing songs for Jamaica’s top entertainers such as Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, and Elephant Man, along with a few underground albums which did exceptionally well, that the boys decided it’s time to take it to another level.

Rising Star
Diana Rutherford
They have come a long way, especially my favorite Diana Rutherford who wooed both myself and Jamaica with her rendition of Barbara Streisand's 'Left In The Dark'. The rendition earned her the top position, in total votes for a week, breaking the winning streak that favored Cavan....
She gracefully returned and rocketed to a diva status, with gracious renditions of Bob Marley's 'Natural Mystic', Diana King's 'Shy Guy' and Tamia's 'Stranger In My House'. The diva continued until she was finally eliminated as the second runner up.

Rising Star
Candy

This young DJ rival the likes of Dancehall's first lady 'Lady Saw' and Dancehall's queen of controversy Ce Cile in lyrics, sex appeal, and stage dilivery. Strictly hardcore action from the Digicel's Rising Star fourth place winner 'Candy'. She be performing at Magnum Sting 2K4.

Rising Star
Cavan
After being disqualified from the Digicel's Rising Stars competition, judges: Anthony Miller, Nadine Sutherland, and AJ Brown deliberated and immediately decided to ask Cavan to return. Cavan re-entered only to claim the top spot and scored for himself the top prize of a recording contract.
Nick name ‘Come Back Cavan’,Cavan released his first single and video entitled 'Pain' at Cuddy’z Sports Bar, New Kingston on November 18, 2004. The budding artiste also shared the glory of the debut 'Singles Collection Vol 1' album, which was also released that evening with his fellow Rising Stars artistes Renee, Diana, and Candy; who are also featured on the collection.

Rising Star
Ruffi-Ann

Ruffi-Ann
Her biggest track entitled "Stick To Yuh Man" was done by Steelie and Clevie. She also recorded "Ram Ram", for Prince Jammys on the Kingston II Label, the song did well in the Caribbean Islands. These tracks were done under her former name ‘Lady Shabba’.
In the year 2000, Lady Shabba decided to change her name to ‘Ruffi-Ann’ to advance in the music business.
