The Gathering Of The Healers

“The most sacred place on earth is where a past hatred has become a present love”.

Words taken from the back-cover of American author and Reggae Philanthropist Robert Roskind. He has once again, made it possible for us to grace our bookshelves with another in the series of his One Love message.

On February 4, 2002, at the and Julia Roskind, authors of Rasta Heart: A journey into One Love, home and museum of the late superstar Bob Marley in Kingston, Jamaica. Robert along with six well-known Jamaican teachers of love (healers), joined together for ‘The Gathering of the Healers: The healing of the Nation. They invited all Jamaicans to join them in healing their society by exercising greater love and forgiveness in their personal relationships.

The book covers Roskind, as he travels beautiful Jamaica organizing this gathering and meeting with remarkable people including: Bob Marley’s mother and children, Rita Marley his wife, reggae stars Denroy Morgan, Luciano, Tony Rebel, and Abijah; author Dennis Forsythe; many of the country’s leaders including the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader and UPP President Antonette Haughton. This is the story of his mystical adventure.

Robert and Julia Roskind are the authors of ten books including Rasta Heart; the journey into One Love, In the spirit of marriage, and In the spirit of Business. They are also the creators of a record breaking PBS television series 'Business' and organizers of The Fires of Forgiveness.

Robert believes that Jamaica will be the first country to heal itself with One Love. Having faith in his belief, Robert circles the island producing One Love concerts; a medium he uses to spread the message. He has attracted a number of Jamaicans in his efforts, who have joined him; carrying the torch of One Love. Robert will return to Jamaica in early 2005, to promote another series of One Love concerts, to be hosted at a number of our nation’s schools.

The book also includes 50 photographs of the healers, Roskind and his family, as well as others who are also involved in spreading the Gospel.

This book captures the true spirit of the Jamaican people, on a tremendous journey of faith and One love.
