The sexy DJ Candy made her first appearance on the Digicel Rising Star stage with her originally written track entitled “Lust”.

Her potential was evident, naming her, the forth place winner in the Digicel’s Rising Star competition 2004.

This new talent rivals the likes of Dancehall first lady ‘Lady Saw’ and the dancehall queen of controversy Cecile, with her slick, original, daring, and outspoken lyrics. “She has the potential of being the next major dancehall hit,” said Reggae Times Managing editor Mrs. Trefina Asiedu.

The artiste whose debut single has just been released is also scheduled on the line up of artistes for ‘Magnum Sting 2k4’, which will be held at Jam- World on Boxing Day (December 26).

The single is called ‘Look Good’ and the album is a collection of singles from the Digicel’s Rising Star top 4. When ReggaeTimes caught up with her at the album launch at Cuddy’z sports Bar on November 18, 2004, the young DJ expressed how happy she was that finally her work would be recognized.

Her originality she says, comes from reality, breaking the rules where only men are allowed to pursue women.

This vixen has successfully turned the table by letting us know that “ A nuh man alone lust for a woman’s body, cause that boy deh whey me see a drive me crazy” words from her first originally performed song entitled ‘Lust’, aired on Rising Stars and “hot boy, mi love the way you look inna yu prada,…. A you mi want to be mi baby fahda” words from her officially released single taken from the singles collection called ‘Look Good’.

One thing is for certain, this DJ shows no signs of slowing down, in fact she will tell you that she is just getting started. She has began the cooperate climb in the Music Industry and Sting for her is just another big step.
