Ruffi-Ann

Though not a new kid on the block, Lady Shabba has now reinvented herself starting with a name change and lots more.

Ruffi-Ann’s real name is Sharon Peterkin. She was born in the parish of Kingston and grew up in Portmore, St.Catherine. She attended  Bridgeport High where her musical journey began at age 15, with producers such as Patrick Roberts from the Shocking Vibes, Sly and Robbie from the Taxi Label and Steelie and Clevie.

Her biggest track entitled "Stick To Yuh Man" was done by Steelie and Clevie. She also recorded "Ram Ram", for Prince Jammys on the Kingston II Label, the song did well in the Caribbean Islands. These tracks were done under her former name ‘Lady Shabba’.

In the year 2000, Lady Shabba decided to change her name to ‘Ruffi-Ann’ to advance in the music business. The new name brought along success for the artiste; she is now doing her own production, producing other artiste on her own ‘Sugar Pan Production’ Label.

She has two new singles out on the Sugar Pan Production Label, entitled " Sex, Sex, Sex" and " You Are", which featured Thriller U. Other tracks includes "Waan Tek Yuh Man" on the High Fence Label.
