Hoodcelebrityy set to perform in Jamaica for first time

Tina Pinnock popularly known as Hoodcelebrityy is from the parish of St. Catherine in Jamaica, where she spent most of her early childhood years, surrounded by reggae music and culture. When she was in still preteen she relocated to Bronx, New York where she currently still resides.

Hoodcelebrityy is signed to Epic Records, and is known for singles such as Walking Trophy, Island Girls, Bubble, Cut Them Off, Vybez, Wine Pon It, Sit Down, Something Special, Gun Shot, Run Dat, Hardball, Motivation and The Takeover, her style is a blend of her Jamaican roots mix with rap and hip-hop.

On June 24, 2018 she is slated to perform at Tease set for the Sugar man’s Beach in Portmore. This will be her first time performing in Jamaica, despite her songs being hot on both the local and international scene.

Promoter\ Artist Manager Michael Wilson disclosed in an interview that he believes HoodCelebrityy is one of the hottest Dancehall artistes in the United States presently.

“Hood Celebrityy is one of the few overseas-based deejays to dominate the music scene locally, so this is history in the making, and Tease will be the first to bring her to Jamaica…she is hot like fire, she deh everywhere, people obsessed with the Walking Trophy, she deh a UK, Miami, California,” Wilson noted.

Hood Celebrityy got her big break in 2015 after her friend Cardi B posted a video of her single Wine Pon It, which went viral gaining a lot of attention for the artiste. That single was followed by Walking Trophy which is receiving a lot air play on the local stations, while it is climbing in rank on the Billboard R & B/Hip Hop airplay chart, reaching as high as 34th so far.

She deh everywhere a foreign, all the major shows dem, and her performances are hyped up and full of energy. This is no normal artiste,” he said.

Mr Wilson also interjected that patrons should come out to see HoodCelebrityy at Tease as she is expected to deliver a performance to remember for her Jamaican fans.
